Reception at the Mexico City Airport. Transfer to the hotel.
2nd day - Mexico
Leave for the archaeological zone of Teotihuacán, located 30 miles from the city. Visit the Roadway of the Dead, the Pyramid of the Moon, the Pyramid of the Sun and the Temple of Quetzalcoatl. Return to Mexico City. Along the way, we visit the Convent of Acolman founded under the order of the Agustinians in 1539. Visit of the Basilic of Guadeloupe and the Square of the Three Cultures. At night, walk to Garibaldi Square and discover the true happiness of the Mariachis.
3rd day - Mexico
Depart for the Anthropological Museum and visit the main halls. Continue to Xochimilco. Encounter the famous Floating Gardens, which are surrounded by canals busied by the city’s people which come to recreate. Return to the city and visit Zócalo ( the main plaza ), the Cathedral and National Palace.
4th. Day - Mexico/San Miguel Allende/Guanajuato
In the morning, depart for San Miguel de Allende. Visit the city which is considered a national monument because it still preserves the traditional look of colonial times with its buildings, churches, plazas and gardens surrounded by cobblestoned streets. Because of its flavor, San Miguel de Allende is the favorite place for many artists. Continue to Guanajuato.
5th. Day - Guanajuato / Morelia / Pátzcuaro
Visit the city where they have preserved the old past. Once a mining city, Guanajuato still manifests a feel of colonial times with its buildings, winding streets, plazas, gardens and its unusual underground street. Guanajuato offers a unique atmosphere in art and culture. Also tour the Valenciana mine, the Hacienda de Gabriel de Barrera as well as many other attractions, continue to Patzcuaro. 6th. Day - Patzcuaro / Guadalajara
A beautiful town on the bank of a lake. It is one of Mexico’s most beautiful and photogenic cities. Patzcuaro is a colonial city of the Tarasco indians. Visit the artisan town and see the fishermen who conserve their traditions, culture and dialect, travel by boat across Lake Patzcuaro to the Island of Janitzio. continue to Guadalajara.
7th. Day - Guadalajara
Second city of Mexico. It preserves some of Mexico’s finest historical monuments. The urban Tapatios, take pride in their city as a cultural centre, in their Mariachi band, in their Jarabe Tapatio (Mexico’s national dance), in their Charreadas and their Tequila. Visit of Tlaquepaque and Tonala, very famouse for their ceramic, crafts, glass, silver, weaving and papier-maché figures.
8th. Day - Guadalajara / Puerto Vallarta
Depart for Puerto Vallarta where Hollywood stars discovered the tropical paradise of Balderas Bay in the 1960’s and become one of Mexico’s top Pacific resorts.
This area has managed to conserve some of the quaintness of a Mexican village, with its white-washed, tile-roofed houses and stone-paved streets stretching toward the jungle-clad mountains
9th. Day – Puerto Vallarta
Transfer to the airport.
